Calling all young fashion enthusiasts! In this garment-focused sewing class, kids will learn the essentials of creating their own wearable pieces. From choosing patterns to stitching and finishing, each student will gain hands-on experience crafting garments that reflect their unique style.

Details:

  • Prerequisite: Due to the complexity of garment construction, participants need approval based on skill level. Basic sewing knowledge and machine experience required. CHILDREN MUST BE APPROVED TO JOIN THIS CLASS BY KAREN (please reach out for approval before booking to classes@shophomesewn.com)
  • Class Structure: Flexible booking with our class pass option – select sessions that work for you!
  • What’s Covered: Pattern reading, fabric selection, cutting techniques, machine sewing, and garment assembly.

We will help your child develop lifelong skills, and let them express themselves through their creations.

How it Works: 
Purchase a pass for a series of open sewing workshops, where your kids will choose the projects they wish to complete. Instructors will lead them at their own speed from inception to completion (or anywhere in between), based on projects that will be discussed and agreed upon with the instructor (additional supply fees may apply).

Material costs are NOT included in the price of the class pass.  Please have your child come to class with an idea of what they would like to work on or learn.
 

This is a flexible class pass - students may attend any combination of sessions marked RESERVE YOUR SPOT - Garment Making Class Pass. This is a continuous class offering, advanced projects will take longer than 4 sessions.

Please be sure to reserve a spot at least 24 hours in advance of your class time. Reservations can be made here, emailed to classes@shophomesewn.com, or call 610-744-1000 to reserve your spot. Spaces are limited, and fill up quickly. Cancellations, should they be necessary, can be granted ONLY IF homesewn is notified at least 24 hours in advance of the beginning of class, otherwise one class session will be forfeited.
