Join us for a fun and creative sewing class where you'll learn to make your very own Plover Pouch! This stylish and functional pouch is perfect for storing all your essentials, from cosmetics and jewelry to small tech gadgets. Whether you're a beginner or looking to enhance your sewing skills, this project is designed to be both simple and satisfying.
Class Overview: In this class, you'll be guided step-by-step through the process of sewing the Plover Pouch. From cutting the fabric to adding the finishing touches, you'll learn key sewing techniques, such as zipper installation, lining creation, and perfecting your stitching. By the end of the class, you'll have a beautiful, custom-made pouch that’s as practical as it is trendy.

- Sewing a zipper into a lined pouch
- Working with interfacing for added structure
- Creating neat, professional-looking seams
- Tips for precision cutting and fabric preparation
Skill Level: Intermediate (ideal for those who have basic knowledge of using a sewing machine)
Age requirement: Adults
Sessions: Three 2-hour sessions
Materials:
We will be making the large size pouch.
- 1/2 yard exterior fabric (cotton, or cotton linen blend)
- Fat quarter for gusset (cotton, or cotton linen blend)
- 1/2 yard lining fabric (cotton)
- 1.5 yards interfacing (Pellon SF101 or similar)
- 1/2 fusible fleece
- 14" or longer handbag zipper (not metal)
- 6" or longer zipper for interior pocket (not metal)
We will provide mesh fabric and foldover elastic for interior pocket.
All materials purchased at homesewn for this class will receive a 15% discount.
