Give wet felting a try in the beginner level felting class. First we will wet felt some sparkly Ghost sheets and then add needle felted details to bring these ghouls to life! Go home with 2 new ghost friends!
Needle felting is a process that sculpts wool into any shape you can imagine. Wool fibers are covered with scales. In needle felting we use special barbed needles that lock the scales of the fiber together. What this looks like is stabbing fluffy colorful wool repeatedly to sculpt a soft sculpture.
Farren is a fiber artist located in West Chester PA specializing in all things squishy and wool. She is passionate about teaching sustainable and accessible art classes and finds inspiration in our bountiful natural world. Farren loves to source fiber from local farms including her own Corriedale sheep.
Class length: One 2-hour session.
Ages: 12+
