Embroidered Lettering: Create a Personalized Napkin Set
We're excited to welcome our newest instructor, Hannah Schneider, from LIttle Oak Design Co. for our latest embroidery workshop. Check out her work here!
Embroider a personalized napkin set using your own handwriting!
This class will teach embroidery beginners to stitch lettering onto fabric. Participants will choose a name, word, or short phrase, then learn how to transfer their design to a cloth napkin and cover the writing with neat stitching.
Techniques taught include:
- working with water-soluble stabilizer
- learning the best stitches for lettering
- keeping the back of your work neat
This is a beginner-level class and beginner skills will be covered as needed, but participants should have a basic understanding of sewing and embroidery (threading a needle, tying a knot, running stitch, etc.).
Sessions: One 3-hour class
The following materials will be included. Participants will each receive 4 cotton napkins, one DMC floss, a 4" embroidery hoop, and stabilizer. Various colors will be available, additional supplies can be purchased if desired.
Please bring the following items with you to class:]
