Homebody Quilted Jacket Class

Join us to make Matchy Matchy Sewing Clubs NEW pattern Homebody Quilted Jacket (pattern release is early February).

Create your own quilted jacket! Choose between two paths: bring your own pre-quilted fabric or make your quilted fabric from scratch.

Session 1: Making Your Own Quilted Fabric (Optional Add-On) 

quilting session must be booked separately here

• Learn how to piece and quilt your own fabric before constructing your jacket.
• Explore design options, batting choices, and quilting techniques.
• Finish with a custom quilted panel ready for jacket construction.

Skip this session if you are bringing your own pre-quilted fabric!

Session 2: Jacket Construction (Required for All Participants)

• Cut and assemble your quilted fabric into a wearable jacket.
• Learn techniques for sewing bulky layers, adding pockets, and finishing edges.
• Walk away with a cozy, handmade quilted jacket!

You must have pre-quilted fabric to take this class.  

Audience: Intermediate sewists

Sessions: Two 2-hour sessions

Fabric must be cut out prior to construction class.  If you need assistance cutting out your fabric you can enroll in a guilded sewing studio session.

Materials:

• 44" wide fabric
  • Jacket sizes XXS - L         2.5 yards of quilted fabric
  • Jacket sizes XL- 3XL        3 yards of quilted fabric
  • Jacket sizes 4XL - 6XL     3.5 yards of quilted fabric  
• 54" wide fabric
  • Jacket sizes XXS - M        2 yards of quilted fabric
  • Jacket sizes L - 3XL          3 yards of quilted fabric  
    
  • Jacket sizes 4XL - 6XL     3.5 yards of quilted fabric  

• Bias Binding - extra half yard will be needed to make bias binding.

Extra fabric may be needed to match stripes, plaids, or directional prints.
