First Socks Knitting Class

Knit your first sock! You’ll learn to cast onto double-pointed needles, work short rows, pick up stitches, and Kitchener stitch. Please come to class proficient in the knit and purl stitches, we’ll teach you the rest!

Experience needed: Ability to knit and purl

Time: 3 2-hour sessions - you will have homework between sessions

Materials:

• One ball of Cascade 220 Superwash *note that we will use almost every bit of this yarn for the adult woman size. You may need a second ball if you are making the larger men’s size.
• One set of US size 4 DPN’s (double pointed needles)
• One stitch marker, safety pin style
• Yarn needle
• Pattern will be provided in class
  

Materials purchased at homesewn for this class will receive a 15% discount.

**Classes have a minimum of 2 participants.  Participants will be notified via email 24 hours prior to the scheduled start time if there are not the required number of students.  Participants can either reschedule (if a future class is available), or receive a refund.  Please ensure you register with a valid email address.**
